Little House Day Care

We are Professional Child Care Providers, not babysitters. Our goal is to provide your child with a clean, safe, comfortable environment where they can play and learn with guidance and loving care while you are at work or attending school. In order to make our relationship as enjoyable as possible the following are some mutual benefits that are necessary to assure that there are no misunderstandings between either party, that each party is aware of the requirements, and that these requirements are carried out in a businesslike manner. There is a lot of information here. Please read all of it. If any of our policies seem unfair or unnecessary, please take a moment to think about that policy and how it would apply to your current working situation… We’re sure it will make sense in that light. These policies are enforced for the same reason policies are enforced in any job situation - for fairness and respect. If you have any questions, please ask.

The policies listed below are set forth by the Child Care Providers and are in accordance with the Child Care regulations. These policies and accompanying contract become effective upon acceptance by the parent/guardian and the Child Care Provider. Business Hours

We provide child care Monday through Friday 24 hours a day, and will do weekends upon special request. We will figure your hours for work or school plus fair commute time and these will be your “scheduled hours.” For parents not attending work or school, but needing care, we will discuss this together and determine hours based on present scheduling. Weather

If your child is here in the event of a tornado warning, they will be taken to a safe zone, typically Mammoth Caves. Admission Paperwork
Before we will assume responsibility for your child we MUST have signed copies of all admission forms. Permission to Photograph/Video
With parent permission photos and/or videos of your child may be used for advertising purposes and/or posted on social networking sites and personal scrapbooks. Pets
There are 3 dogs and 3 cats on the premises. It is likely that your child will come in contact with them at one time or another. Two of the cats are always indoors, Hines and Peaches(who rule the house). Jethro(our gentle giant Great Pyrenees), Bus(our loving Shepherd Mix), Chancy(our sweet 15 year old Beagle) and J.C.(our guard cat) prefer being outdoors. The two big boys will likely bark when you pull in the driveway. That is their job, and is just to let us know someone is here. We call them our built in door bell.

Meals and Snacks
Meals will be provided in the following schedule:
Breakfast: 8 a.m.
Morning Snack: 10:30 a.m.
Lunch: 1 p.m.
Afternoon Snack: 4 p.m.
Dinner: 6 p.m.
We do “family style” dining. A serving of each item prepared will be placed on their plate. They will be encouraged to try, but do not have to. If they decide not to eat, they must wait until the next scheduled time. Infants are fed on demand. If your child requires a special diet due to allergies, medication, age, and/or cultural or religious beliefs it will be the responsibility of the parent to provide well balanced meals for their child. Holidays

Little House Day Care will be closed Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. We will also occasionally take vacation days of which you will be notified ahead of time, unless it is an emergency. Parent Vacations

Please notify us at least 2 weeks in advance when you plan to take vacations. If notified less than 1 week prior to a scheduled vacation time, you will still be charged for the week unless it’s an emergency. Extended Absences

In case of your potential absence due to maternity leave, summer, or extended leave from your job, we will require ½ of your monthly fees for the entire time of your absence to hold your child’s position. We must receive 1 months written notice. Medical...
